1. Overview
CalcSmart ("we", "us", "our") operates calcsmart.app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The short version: we do not collect or store any data you enter into our calculators. All calculations run locally in your browser.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Any numbers, values, or inputs you enter into our calculators
- Your name, email address, or personal identifying information (unless you contact us directly)
- Your precise location
- Your IP address in identifiable form
3. Data We Do Collect
Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. We collect aggregate, anonymised data about page views, calculator usage, and session duration. No personal profiles are created. Your full IP address is never stored.
Advertising: We display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out at Google Ad Settings.
4. Cookies
CalcSmart itself does not set cookies. Third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may set cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting calculator functionality.
5. Voice Input
Some calculators offer optional voice input using your browser's built-in Web Speech API. Audio is processed by your browser (and its provider, such as Google Chrome) and is not recorded or stored by CalcSmart.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics 4: Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Configured with
anonymize_ip: true. - Google AdSense: Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts: Loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log font request metadata.
7. Children's Privacy
CalcSmart is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data we hold about you. Since we do not store personal calculator inputs, the primary right is opting out of analytics (use your browser's Do Not Track setting or a privacy extension) and personalised advertising (via Google Ad Settings above).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
